Dr Daman Ahuja has 29 years of experience in the development sector in conceptualizing, planning and execution of the Reproductive and Child Health, HIV/AIDS, Community Processes and Child Labour at the grassroots, state and national levels. Dr Ahuja has previously worked with V. V. Giri National Labour Institute; Delhi University; Citizen Commission on Bonded and Child Labour; State Innovations in Family Planning Services Programme Agency (SIFPSA) in Uttar Pradesh; UNICEF- Lucknow; National AIDS Control Organization (NACO); Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh; and NRHM Haryana. He has been a founder member of Delhi Police Organisation ‘ Naya Prayas’ based at New Delhi.
He received an award from the Minister of Health and Family Welfare for excellence in coordinating the Red Ribbon Express initiative. Dr Ahuja holds a Doctorate Degree from School of Public Health, SRM University Chennai; a Master Degree in Social Work from Kurukshetra University; and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising from Bhartiya Vidhya Bhavan, New Delhi.
